Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified the E-assessment scheme 2019 on 12th September 2019. In this scheme, the Government has laid down the procedures for the e-assessment of the Income tax cases, thus paving the way towards the faceless assessment of the Income tax scrutiny cases. This scheme contains all the procedures regarding the procedure for assessment, penalty proceeding for non-compliance, Appellate proceedings and other procedures regarding the e-assessment proceedings.
