Hon’ble Finance Minister’s Relief Measures Announced on 26.03.2020

*FM Relief package on 26-03-2020*

  1. Package will benefit the migrant workers, women and disabled persons
  2. Package worth is Rs. 1.7 Lakh Crores
  3. Gratitude to the Front line warriors fighting against corona virus
  4. Insurance cover of Rs. 50 Lakh per person for the Doctors, Paramedic workers, Sanitation workers and all those who are working on the front line against Coronavirus
  5. Under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojna, in which 80 crore poor people which is 2/3rd of the population. The Government will provide 5 Kg of Rice / Wheat per person per month and over above 5 Kg per month, there will be given another 5 Kg free for 3 month. Also 1 Kg of pulse per month shall be given for each household.
  6. Under the Cash Transfer and other benefit schemes, there are 8 specific announcements:-
  7. Farmers – Of the benefit of Rs. 6000/- annually, the Govt will provide the Rs. 2000/- immediately in the first week of April
  8. MNREGA – There will be a wage increase of Rs. 2000/- per worker i.e. from Rs. 182/- to Rs. 202/- per day wage.
  9. Old Age People, Widow and Disabled person – There will be an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 1,000/- in 2 instalments of Rs. 500/- in the next 3 months under Direct Beneficiary Transfer.
  10. Women Jan Dhan Account holders – Will be getting ex-gratia amount of Rs. 500/- per amount for the next 3 months
  11. Ujjwala Scheme – For 8.3 crore of BPL family under Ujjwala scheme, free cylinders for the next 3 months
  12. Garib Kalyan Yojna – Women Self Help Group benefitting 7 Crore household will be benefitted, they will get Rs. 20 Lakh collateral free loan instead of Rs. 10 Lakhs
  13. Organized Sector – a. Government will pay the EPF contribution both of the employer and employee which is 12 % each for the next 3 months for all those establishment having upto 100 employees and 90% of whom earning less than Rs. 15000/- per month
  14. The Provident Fund scheme regulations will be amended to allow non-refundable advance of 75% of the amount standing credit of the member or 3 months wage, whichever is lower.
  15. Construction workers – To give directions to the State Government to utilise the Construction Funds managed by the Central Government, that will be utilised for the benefit of construction workers from the Fund which is of Rs. 31000 Crores.
  16. District Mineral Funds – Requesting the State Government to utilise the District Mineral Funds to testing activies, screening activies and other activities to fight the Coronavirus
