In the twitter notification by the Income tax department, the department has notified that due to the heavy traffic while filing the SFT, some taxpayers might have faced difficulties in filing the SFT returns. Therefore, the functionality to file the SFT returns will remain open for a couple of days to enable the smooth filing of the return.
It is pertinent to note that there has not been any update whether there will be any late fee waiver for filing the SFT return after 31st May 2023.
