MCA extends various deadlines till 31-12-2020

In view of the hardship being faced by the stakeholders, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on 28th September 2020, has extended the various deadlines to provide the relief to the stakeholders in fulfilling the compliances of the Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships. The extensions are as follows:-

a. Extension of the deadline for Company Fresh Start Scheme 2020

The deadline for the Company Fresh Start Scheme 2020 has been extended from 30th September 2020 to 31st December 2020.

b. Extension of the deadline for LLP Settlement Scheme 2020

The deadline for the LLP Settlement Scheme 2020 has been extended from 30th September 2020 to 31st December 2020.

c. Scheme for relaxation of time for filing of forms related to creation or modification of charges under the Companies Act 2013

The deadline for relaxation of time for filing of forms related to creation or modification of charges under the Companies Act 2013 has been extended from 30th September 2020 to 31st December 2020.

d. Extension of time limit for EGM through Video Conferencing or other Audio Visual means or passing of certain items only through postal ballot without convening general meeting

The Companies can conduct the EGM through Video Conferencing or other Audio Visual means or passing of certain items only through postal ballot without convening general meeting till 31st December 2020.

e. Extension of time limit within which the Independent Directors of Companies have to register themselves on the databank maintained by the IICA

The time limit within which the Independent Directors of Companies have to register themselves on the databank maintained by the IICA has been extended from 30th September 2020 to 31st December 2020.
